Grand Blanc's Brendel Elementary holds marketplace day, raises more than $1,000 to purchase livestock for African families | The Flint Journal

This is a story I wrote for The Grand Blanc News, a once-weekly paper published by The Flint Journal. It was posted online Dec. 14, and is scheduled to run in print Dec. 18. It was one of my favorites because the students were so passionate about their chosen cause of helping African families out of poverty, something I’m very passionate about as well.
